Personal Finance and Economics!

October 15, 2010

8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Lambeau Field Atrium

A one-day conference on personal financial and economics education for Wisconsin’s
K-12 teachers, in conjunction with Wisconsin’s Money Smart Week

This one-day conference will offer four concurrent sessions on teaching personal finance and economics in K-12 classrooms. Among those presenting are college professors with expertise in personal financial and economics education, fellow K-12 teachers with years of experience teaching these disciplines, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago trainers, as well as financial industry veterans. Fifteen presentations will be offered (focusing on middle and high school levels) in addition to a session where teachers will be asked to share their best practices and ideas.

A Special Note from Mr. Bob Harlan . . .

Mr. Bob Harlan, President of the Green Bay Packers organization, shares these thoughts…

“The Green Bay Packers are so pleased that this important event for Wisconsin teachers is being held at Lambeau Field. We are long-time supporters of Economics Wisconsin's mission of improving economic and financial education for Wisconsin 's youth. As a board member of Economics Wisconsin I firmly believe that the best way to accomplish this goal is through teacher education and training.”
