Do you wish you had a hands-on approach to teaching life skills such as money and finance, wants and needs, goods and services, and other related economics and financial literacy topics? If you are a teacher devoted to teaching beyond the textbook and giving your students a chance to learn by doing, you will be inspired by the unique Classroom Mini-Economy. Imagine all students learning basic money and other economic skills by having “paid” jobs and running banks, insurance companies, stores, or other businesses. You will truly be inspired and motivated by the easy-to implement techniques and activities that create a classroom community based on real economic and life skills without adding more units to your already busy school day.

Registration cost is $25.00 and includes lunch and curricula materials. This workshop will be led by Jennifer Guenther, Abby Janssen and Dean Duehring and hosted by Deirdre Watts, Center Director for Economic Education,UW-Oshkosh. Registration is limited to 25 each day.
